John N. Underwood, of Arlington, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 24, 2012. Born in Boston to the late Charles W. and Marion (Ball) Underwood on July 1, 1933, he was 78. John is a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and he retired as a Detective from the Boston Police Department in 1998 after 32 years of service. Beloved husband of 44 years to Claudette "Ramona" (Graves) Underwood. Loving father of John Underwood, Jr. of New Bedford, Trina Correia of Hawaii, Kristin Neves & her husband Pharoah of Medford, Philip Reavis & his wife Trecia of Somerville and the late Michael Underwood. Brother of Muriel Dymond, Laura Horne, David and Michael Underwood. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Nia, Quintin, & Ronin Neves, Philip John Reavis, Lyndsi Underwood, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt.60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Friday, June 29th from 4:00 to 8:00PM. Relatives and friends invited.
