The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joseph H. Condolences

Condolence From: Patricia Jen
Condolence: Dear Joey,
Ever since I met you when you came to Chicago, and even though I barely knew you, I felt as if you understood all the anxiety and concerns on my mind when I would happen to meet your kindly gaze. I think it is because you actually see people when you look at them. Through the years, with the other opportunities to meet, you completely won me over with your willingness to meet us at the end of our honeymoon hike and especially to lag behind with me and my swollen knees trailing my husband and his athletic friends back to civilization. Those hours walking out together with you were the bright spots of that mostly miserable day! When I would see you for get-togethers in Boston after that, nothing has changed...You were still the same funny, generous, kind person who walked me out of the woods. I will miss you.

Condolence: Joe was a special person. Intelligent and kind. My kids always thought it was the highlight of their visit to the police station when they got to visit with Joe. Joe will be missed. God Bless his family. Great guy.

Condolence From: Linda and Chris
Condolence: Joe,
We will miss your exuberant greetings, rambling stories and the jokes that were always just the right amount of naughty. The whole wide world will miss this favored son.

The tulips were always for you.

Condolence: I had the privilege of spending a vital part of my youth with you, and I still look back at those days with a sense of fondness. I always admired you for your free-spirited, humorous approach to life that almost came across as care-free. But looking back now, there are probably few who cared MORE about others. I will always remember how you used to take me over to Newbury Comics and let me pick out whichever comics I wanted. And I will never forget the early morning fishing trips and the time you spent with me in the backyard at Lockland Ave trying to teach me how to cast that fishing rod. And yes...I even remember you running back into the house to hide each time I hit the neighbor's house by accident. I was just a kid and I know you didn't have to do those things, but I just want you to know that it meant a lot to me then and it still does to this day. You were a true friend and I was lucky to have you around during that period of my life. Thank you for that. So, until we meet again, pick out a nice fishing spot and save me a seat. In the meantime..."If you get confused, listen to the music play." -Grateful Dead

Condolence: To be a Donnelly means to be very funny and to be larger than life...I am so glad I had at least the past 15 years to fully enjoy your laughter and stubbornness. You are missed beyond words, Uncle Joe(d).
