MacDONALD, Joseph Bruce of Arlington. Passed away April 26, 2017 at Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 85 years old. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on October 3, 1931. Son of the late Dougald J. and Catherine E. “Kitty” (Coffey) MacDonald. Beloved husband of the late M. Katherine (McIntyre) MacDonald. Loving father of Katherine M. Fuller and her husband Peter D. Fuller Jr. Devoted grandfather of Peter D. Fuller III, Katherine E. Fuller, and Suzanne M. Fuller. Brother of Marie Madison and her husband Mike of FL, Joan Clark and her late husband George of New Brunswick, Canada, Gen MacInnis and her husband Duke of Nova Scotia, and the late Fred and his wife Aileen MacDonald, Dr. Harold and his wife Margaret MacDonald, Dorothy Higgins and her husband Tom. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bruce was a graduate of Sydney Academy and St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish N.S. in 1953. Married Katherine on June 18, 1960 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. He worked as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending for Bank of Boston. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt.60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Monday at 9am, followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Church at 10am. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday 2-5 pm. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Agnes’ Church, 30 Medford St., Arlington, MA.
