Obituary for Annette V. Alvarado-Cuellar (Alcarado)

Annette V.  Alvarado-Cuellar (Alcarado)
Annette Alvarado-Cuéllar (October 15, 1961 – May 13, 2017)

Annette passed away peacefully on May 13, 2017 at her home in Arlington, Massachusetts. She was surrounded by her loving family. Annette was deeply thankful for the care of her Beth Israel and Hospice medical teams and for the thoughts and prayers sent by family and friends from all over the world. She was 55 years old.

Annette’s creativity, spontaneity and generous heart made her authentic and fun. She loved dancing with her husband of 29 years, Alejandro; watching her younger son, Andreas, play soccer; visiting her older son, Alejandro Oscar, at college; decorating the windows of Henry Bear’s Park stores, where she loved to work; collecting teddy bears and dolls;
traveling to her native Panama; wearing the traditional pollera; eating lobster in Rockport, and preparing for the next Halloween celebration. Annette also worked as a transcriber and translator for non-profits, including Oxfam America and WGBH.

In addition to her husband and two sons, Annette leaves her mother Virginia Núñez de Alvarado of Panama, her sister, Patricia Alvarado Núñez, and her bother-in-law, Alan Grazioso, both of Arlington, her mother-in-law, Teresita de Cuéllar, her sisters-in-law, Alexia, Elizabeth and Teresita, her brothers-in-law, Vladimir and Reynaldo, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and family throughout Latin America and the United States. Annette’s ashes will be buried in Panama next to her late father Oscar Alvarado.

Donations may be made in her name (in lieu of flowers) to Fundación Pro-Integración which helps very poor children in Panama. TO DONATE > https://www.youcaring.com/AnnettesMemorialFund
