PASQUALONE, Georgia A. (Fortunato), of Arlington, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 12, 2017. Beloved wife of 39 years to Anthony M. Pasqualone of Arlington. Loving daughter of George Fortunato of Lexington and the late Ann (Missick). Devoted mother of Cindy McDade of Wilmington, and adored Nonni of Collin McDade. Georgia is also survived by many loving friends and colleagues.

Georgia Pasqualone had been nursing since 1969 and began to specialize in forensic nursing in the early 1990s.

Georgia was a well respected national and internationally recognized lecturer, writer and forensic expert. She studied under legendary crime scene reconstructionist Dr. Henry Lee. She earned her Master’s Degree in Forensic Science, Crime Scene Investigation, from the University of New Haven, CT, in 1996. In 1999, she received her second Master’s Degree in Forensic Nursing from Fitchburg State College, MA. Her work as a forensic nurse has taken her as far as the Ukraine where she taught her Ukrainian counterparts about domestic violence.

She has been recognized as a Fellow by the American Board of Forensic Nurses. Georgia was an expert in the interpretation and reconstruction of crime scenes and has written a number of articles and book chapters on evidence collection and forensic photo-documentation of crime scenes.

She was instrumental in the development of the Fitchburg State College graduate Forensic Nursing Program and was an adjunct faculty member for over 20 years. From 2001 to 2017 she served as an Adjunct Faculty Member to Undergraduate and Graduate Forensic Programs for Boston College and from 1995 to 2017 she was an Instructor for the Massachusetts DPH Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program. Since 1997, she had, among many other cases, painstakingly reconstructed murder investigations, motor vehicle homicide accidents and police shootings. She also testified as an expert witness for both the prosecution and defense in a vast number of medical malpractice and criminal cases.

She was a retired Lieutenant Colonel, United States Army. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt. 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Friday at 9am. Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester at 10am. Burial in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon, MA 01475. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm.
