Lifelong resident of Cambridge. Passed away peacefully on September 9, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Francine A. (Mearn). Loving father of Sharon Lorenzen and her husband William of Waltham, and the late James R. Sousa. Devoted companion of Phyllis Cordero of Cambridge. Cherished grandfather of Tanya Sousa of North Attleboro, Ryan McCarthy and his wife Tiffany of Norwood, James R. Sousa and his wife Jessica of Maine, and Kevin McCarthy and his wife Debra of Waltham. Proud great grandfather of Collin, Gavin, and Evan. Dear brother of Robert Sousa and his wife Roberta of Woburn, Edward Sousa and his wife Helen of ME, and the late Richard Sousa. Also survived by his brother in law Jack Mearn of Cambridge, and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Peter’s Church, Cambridge at 10am. Relatives and friends invited.
