John Gauvreau
John Gauvreau of Somerville passed away at home in the presence of family at the age of 63 on September 27, 2017 following a 7 year fight with colon cancer. Beloved companion of Gail Koenig (Ellingwood). Loving son of the late Joachim and Theresa Gauvreau. Devoted father of Nicole Scouras (Gauvreau) and Brittany Gauvreau. Dear brother of Ann Hill, Irene Morrison, Robert Gauvreau, Carol Dale, and the late Thomas Gauvreau and Joseph Gauvreau. Also survived by many loving family members. John was a skilled carpenter for many years. He loved cooking, cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Anthony's Club 1020 Main St Woburn, MA 01801 on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in John's name to Sophia Gordon Cancer Center at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.
