Tommy Derrah, 64
Thomas Lendall Derrah, 64, of Cambridge died Thursday October 5th, 2017 at The Mt. Auburn Hospital after a brief illness. Tommy was born on January 22, 1953 to parents Robert Lendall Derrah and Margaret Lailer Derrah in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Tommy graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Maine. He would then go on to receive his graduate degree from the Yale School of Drama. In 1980, Tommy became one of the founding members of The American Repertory Theatre where he performed in 116 plays. A renowned and award winning actor of stage and screen, he performed on Broadway, across the United States, and all over the world. He is survived by his loving husband John Kuntz, his brother Robert Derrah and wife Joan of Harwich, MA, his sister Bette-Lou Scott and husband Gregg of Lewisburg, PA, his cherished nieces and nephews, and many close friends. A visitation will be held at from 4pm-7pm in the Story Chapel at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, (580 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge, Ma 02138) on October 13, and concluding with a service of remembrance at 7pm.
