Mary D. Rooney
ROONEY, Mary Dawn (Foley) of Woburn, formerly of Arlington. December 13, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Robert V. Rooney. Loving mother of Robert V. Rooney, Jr. of South Boston, Stephen J. Rooney and his wife, Catherine (Angelis) of Somerville and Patricia Rooney Danizio and her husband, Stephen G. Danizio of Denver, Colorado. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Michael Rooney of Billerica, Michelle Rooney of Somerville, Jeffrey Rowett of Ketchum, Idaho and Daniel Rowett of Lynn. Dawn was predeceased by her sister, Marguerite (Peggy) Pingree and her brother, Edward Foley. Dawn also leaves behind her dearest friend, Claire Scully of Woburn, whose kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Dawn was a longtime member of the Arlington Catholic Women’s Club and the St. Agnes Sodality. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. (adjacent to St. Agnes Church, Rt. 60) ARLINGTON, Monday at 8 AM followed by her funeral mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St. Arlington at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 1-4 pm. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
