Condolence: My Dear Friend Betsy,
May her memory be eternal and indeed I will treasure times we spent
sharing stories, ideas and the joys of her favorite beach.
She rests in peace and offers us all they joys she shared so freely.
To all of us who will miss her --we may remain thoughtful of how her kindness meant so much
My deepest condolences to all her family and to Matt who stood by
her in so many ways.

Condolence: We posted a nite on the Legacy site the other day, but its a honor to add a bit more. Betsy was a project-oriented person, a can -do person. If you needed help wallpapering your kitchen, putting up a gazebo, Betsy would jump in and help do it. If you wanted to ride anywhere, she would take you....and those rides...to eat Chinese food, to visit Seal Rocks, to wave at swans or sneak a look at a small bison farm. Matt was up for any adventure, especially late at night over mysterious roads known to no one but explorer Betsy. Matt at an early age was a frequent visitor to Betsy's university. When he started college himself it was like he had already graduated college. And if you had a family problem or emotional worry, Betsy soothed those worries with her always-calm, gentle voice. She is a friend you cannot ever replace, even if you find magic angels and
fairies. Thank you, Betsy, for sharing your life -- and Matt's life -- with all if us. And what great consolation for Matt, to have had a memorable mother like Betsy who looked at him like a rare sparkling jewel, and who made him into quite a gem himself.

Condolence: I am devastated by the loss of my NH summer childhood friend, Betsy. We were blessed to have a circle of these childhood friends & we called ourselves "The Beach Kids" and we got together frequently. Betsy & I became closer after her kindness to me after the deaths of my parents in 2008 and my retirement in 2009. We shared talks, coastal walks, drives up the coast for chowder, & longer drives up the coast for lobster rolls. Betsy asked me to be her "Chemo Coach" when diagnosed with her tumor, as I had successfully survived two different cancers. When unresponsive in the hospital (but I believed that she could hear me), I took Betsy (in our imagination, but OUT LOUD) for one last walk up our beloved Plaice Cove Beach, stopping to get an ice cream at the stand, & enjoying it on the sea wall, listening to the surf & sea gulls, past the fish houses to the volunteer garden for another rest, & finally up the big hill to Little Boar's Head, where we rested on a bench, like the next to last coastal walk we took in which she let me take our photo on that bench in 2017. I posted that photo on this website & two others of "The Beach Kids" as well as a link to "Betsy's Album": https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10211457276768185.1073742062.1251023105&type=1&l=e389bb6ef3 Betsy, you will be always in my heart. My deepest condolences to Matt, The Beach Kids, and to the other lovely friends of Betsy that I have recently met: Diane Connell, Mary Boyd, & Van & Kathy Gallagher (whom I hope to meet) & other family members... I wish I could be there for the service, but I had responsibilities in Florida and had to leave after Betsy passed away... Love, MaryPat

Condolence: I am very sad to hear of Betsy's passing. I spoke to her not long ago, and she was as curious as ever. We had had long conversations in the past, when we shared the third floor in RF. Matthew, please accept my deepest sympathy. She spoke of you with such love, I know you were very close. I am sure her spirit will be with you forever.

Condolence: Betsy has been one of my closet friends and a cherished colleague. We met as professors at Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH in 1988. Over the years we co-authored and published 2 articles together and spoke at conferences side by side. During this time we became best of Friends. I will miss her deeply and always carry her Memory in my heart.
