Condolence: James and I met and immediately became friends during and after the Broadway production of Hamlet. We had many adventures, and sharing our innermost thoughts and life desires. We confided in each other. He mentioned endlessly how much he loved his wife Alyssa and daughter Shannon. It is fitting: "Goodnight sweet Prince and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest." Love you always, bro! Michael G

Condolence: James, It's been two years since you left us. I miss you more each day, your big bear hugs and laughter. I will always treasure and remember our last call together; I was in California. We shared our love and our understanding and how much we cared for each other. No one can take that away and I hold our memories in my heart forever your sister, Christine

Condolence: Happy Birthday dear brother Jim!

You would have been a young 58 today, but sadly you left us much too soon. I think about you often and hear your laughter in my thoughts and I am ever so thankful for the times of laughter we enjoyed. Laughter provides a great feeling, and even though you’ve passed, I still find yourself chuckling as I think back to things you’ve said. And so to honor you today, I will find the humor in the everyday ups and downs of life.

I hope this birthday message finds you at peace. I miss you so very much.

Love you!
Steph

PS. I changed your background from forest to beach because I know how much you loved long walks by the ocean.

I just found out about James' passing. I loved James Colby! All of his friends at Laura Belle loved him too. We had mad fun at that supper club in the early 90's. Dancing. Drinking. And oh yes, working. After closing Jim would get up on the stage. Dave would hit him with the spotlight and The James Colby Show would begin. Lucky us. May he rest in peace. Joanne O'Connor

So many memories of wonderful performances. I always knew that if he was in the cast, it would be good. So, so sorry.

I adored Jim. His work (Othello), humor, how he cared for his pup, envious of his construction skills. I think of him fondly and have wondered where his life took him over these past several years. I’m so sorry for your loss.
