MacDONALD, Robert D. of Arlington and Vero Beach, FL. March 1, 2018. Beloved son of the late David and Eileen (Buckley). Loving brother of the late Muriel (MacDonald) Murphy and Ruth (MacDonald) Hopkins. Uncle of Donal Grelotti, Noreen Murphy, Stephen Murphy, Diane Laborde, Michael Hopkins, and the late Paula Murphy. Robert was a Navy and Marine veteran, he served during the WW II, Korean, and Vietnam Wars. Graduate of Boston College, he worked as a special agent for the Department of US Treasury. He was a longtime volunteer for the Indian River Volunteer Ambulance Squad and the Humane Society of Vero Beach FL. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. (adjacent to St. Agnes Church, Rt. 60) ARLINGTON, Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass in Saint Agnes’ Church at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Wednesday in the funeral home from 10-11 am. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, 6230 77th St., Vero Beach, FL 32967.
