Margaret T. 'Peg' Rumsey (O'Hearn)
Rumsey, Margaret ''Peg'' (O'Hearn). Of Somerville and White Horse Beach, Plymouth. Beloved wife of the late William Rumsey. Loving mother of William Rumsey of Somerville, Margaret (Peg) O'Hearn of Plymouth, and Patricia Brown and her husband Kenneth of Saugus. Devoted grandmother of Jennifer and Kimberly Brown. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren. She was a proud member of the St. John's Church Women's Guild, a Eucharistic Minister, also a former lector and participated in the Rosary Group for many years. Peg also was a member of the St. John’s Bowling League. During the summer months, Peg was an active member of St. Bonaventure’s parish in Manomet. Peg worked for many years at McKinnon’s Meat Market in Davis Square and was known around Davis Square as the lady with the four-family house who rented at reasonable rates, with many tenants staying for years. Peg was an avid walker. She walked many miles in Somerville/Cambridge and during the summer at White Horse Beach while at the same time proudly carrying her rosary beads praying for so many. Peg was devoted to her family. She will be missed by many but never forgotten. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Massachusetts Ave. North Cambridge, Monday, March 26th at 9AM. Peg’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, 2254 Mass Ave. Cambridge at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 25th from 2 – 6PM.
