English, Charles H. “Charlie”, of Burlington, formerly of Arlington and Lexington, March 25, 2018. Beloved husband of Fay L. (Durling) English. Devoted father of George A. English, his wife Angeli of MS, James R. English, his wife Frances of Westford, Karen G. Haycook and her husband Richard of Chester, NH. Loving grandfather of Christopher and Cory English, Brian and Danielle English, Dorothy and Charlie Haycook. Brother of Helen Plummer of Billerica, Mary Harkins, her husband Bill of Carlisle, the late Claire O’Connor and brother-in-law of Arthur Durling of Andover. Further survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Charlie was a member of the DAV, Lexington Lions Club and Lifelong member of the Lexington Elks. A champion shuffleboard player who loved playing against and giving lessons to his brother Elks, family, friends and residents of the assisted living home he resided in. Charlie was a lifelong Boston sports fan, especially of the N. E. Patriots. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 29th, from 5 – 8 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. Arlington. Interment will be held Friday, March 30th, 10 AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. It has been requested, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Charlie’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Late US Army veteran Korean Era.
