HAWKINS. JAMES H. Jr.
of Cambridge, MA. Born on July 22, 1943 in Boston, MA, passed peacefully on July 4, 2018 at the age of 74. He was the son of the late James H. and Corinne (McCrary) Hawkins. He leaves to mourn his passing his sisters Jean Banks (James, Sr.) and Constance Smith (Rufus­ deceased), both of Lexington, MA and his brother Robert F. Hawkins, Sr. of Wareham, MA. His was the uncle of Anna Garcia (Victor-deceased) of Indiana; James Banks, Jr. (Estela) of Edinburg, TX; Alison Graham (David) of Hyde Park, MA.; Carla Banks of Lexington, MA and Robert F. Hawkins, Jr. (Chanelle) of Cranston, RI. In addition, he was the great uncle of Victor, Jr. and Maya Garcia; Foster and Leighton Graham; and Rayleen and Brayden Hawkins. Jim also leaves his cousins Betty Banks (Adele-deceased), John Knox, Sr. (Yun­ deceased), and Gene Knox (Carol) - all of Milwaukee, WI. He leaves many relatives in various states of the US, as well as many devoted friends here in Massachusetts. During his life time, Jim worked for Payne Elevator, Commonwealth Energy Service, OXFAM America and Harvard University. He was also a member of the National Guard. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Keefe Funeral Home. 2175 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140. Viewing will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:OOa.m. Internment will take place immediately after the service in Cambridge Cemetery.
