KITOWICZ, John W. of Woburn, MA. On Monday, January 28th, 2019 Loving husband, father, partner and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 78. John was born on October 30th, 1940 in Maynard, Ma. The only child of John W. Kitowicz and Helena B. (Marhefka). He was married to the late Rosemary T. (Kirby) Kitowicz on February 15th, 1974 and they had two children. John graduated from Waterville High School in Maine in 1958. He went to Boston University on a football scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1963. After college he worked in the bar business for many years. He also worked and retired from General Ship in Boston. John was an avid fisherman, a huge Boston Sports fan, loved fitness and enjoyed traveling. We will miss all of his crazy story telling at our family parties. He was certainly the best. He is survived by his life partner Patricia Porter, his daughter Christine and husband James Anderson, son Spike and wife Krista Kitowicz, Stepson Brendan Porter and girlfriend Wendy Hawkins, Stepdaughter Katie and husband Michael Marshall.
