Hancock, John, Jr., of Cambridge, formerly of Worcester, December 2, 2018. Beloved husband of Nanci (Sullivan-Pfeiffer) Hancock. Devoted son of the late Julia (Pierce) and John Hancock. Loving brother Judy and her husband Robert Flumere of Milford, Robert Hancock and his wife Marianne of Raynham, Patricia Hancock of Framingham and dear brother-in-law of Jean Reenstierna of Arlington. Dear uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. Cousin of the Van Arman and Pierce Families of Norwich, VT. John graduated from Dartmouth College, class of 1961 and then went on to graduate from the U.S. Navy Officers Training School. He went on to serve with the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1965. He then went on to serve with the Naval Reserves and attained the rank of Lt. Commander. John was a longtime senior executive with the Jordan Marsh Company in Boston. A funeral service will be held in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., ARLINGTON, Thursday, December 6th at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
