Dad, it's been 2 yrs without you and I'm still ok with this. Time has made me miss you more. I keep going back in my mind of when you were in the hospital and everyone tried to tell me but I wouldn't listen. I know "Your Doctor" hahahha... I stayed by your side around the clock begging you to wake up, singing to you hoping you would wake up and say will you please just shut up!!! Putting your other Dr in his place and anyone else...One of your friends called me your little body guard! I laugh when I think of that because I get my strongness and courage from you...The stubborn one who won't budge..today I find myself saying Oh I need to call my Dad and tell him this, I just told Nevin I would buy him a real tie and you would show me how to tie it..then it hits like a ton of bricks on my chest thatI can't call you and you can't show me how to tie a tie(He still doesn't have one) and I won't get crazy off the wall phone calls from you, harressing me...So today I need to say I miss you Dad, I miss everything about you....Thank you Dad for blessing me with your winks..That gave me courage that I can do this...I love you today tomorrow ..forever...

Although I know that Joe passed a while ago. I am sorry that I never got to be there. I was living in Florida at the time and didn't find out until it was over. Joe I will never ever forget you. You were my mentor and the reason I became a Police Officer. Those tireless nights that we spent at your house with Denny McCarthy schooling me on the Massachusetts Blue Book and preparing me for the Police Exam. I love you my brother. I will never forget you. They say that God brings people into your life for reasons. I am thankful that He brought you into my life. I am not sure where I would have been if I never became friends with you. Story shared: my best memory

My grandfather was a great man. I was lucky enough to be his first born grandchild and i was lucky because i got to have so many wonderful memories with this amazing guy but my favorite has to be him and my fathers dad building our back porch and i remember sitting in the door way watching them for days, passing them beer after beer discovering some new curse words lol and just watching in amazement at how much they made each other laugh when my mom would yell and tell them that it was going to fall apart and they would respond and say not Even a really bad hurricane would take that sucker down. then pop passed away and it was grampy joe that told me not to be sad for him because he had a great life and a great family more than one man deserves grampy said that pop was more happy because from then on pop could now watch over all of us and protect you year after pop passed they started work on our house and when i tell you it took two full days , three different trucks and a lot of aggravated construction men to pull the deck down I remember going to grampies and telling how wrong mom was and all about how much work it took just to get the deck down he then looked up at the sky started to laugh and said we sure showed them huh Carl shame on them to doubt our work then he looked at me and we just laughed. That will always be my favorite memory of my grandfather . And the greatest lesson he ever taught me was to love myself my family ans don't be sad about the ones we lose anytime we want to cry just remember they are sitting back relaxing watching and protecting us and one day we will all be together again I love you grampy and i thank you and pop everyday for helping make me a little bit stronger Love alia

Dearest Theresa, daughters and family, We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Joe. We were so blessed to have the both of you at our wedding. Christine and Family, I go back a long way with your Dad. He was a great guy. Everyone growing up in North Cambridge thought nothing to stop and talk to your dad while he was working. Joe, my three children ,Raphaella aka Muffy, Max and Alex enjoyed every moment with you. From the times in Maine , visiting at Wilmington,times in the pool and at the beaches in Florida.God you could really make them smile and laugh. They always looked forward to you and Teresa coming to see them.When Raphaella took her first steps you and Teresa came over immediatly to praise my little girls first steps. Raphaella was your Godchild who you adored and could do no wrong. I especially remember that Easter dinner at The Capitol Grill in Ft lauderdale Max and Alex had a great time being treated like a king.You had them laughing all the way home about how Louie was going to get his operation and his bark would change. You were always cheering for them at their baseball games "Yes Sir Buddy Boy" as they hit the ball into the outfield.Joe, you were always so very good to my children and also so very good to me.You will always have a special place in my heart and memories with my children I will never forget.. Dad, I cant even begin to express how I feel. I can not imagine life without you. You have to be smiling all the way to Heaven looking back and just knowing that the unbelievable amount of love and support that is part of your life here on earth. So many friends and family with all their funny stories and lifes lessons. That is what is gonna get us all through this. This is absolutely horrible for us but knowing that you are in a great place surrounded by the loved ones you lost is some what comforting. I dont think Heaven will ever be the same! I love you more than I can say and you will live forever and ever in my heart. You always told me to play "our license plate number "375". You would call and say "did you play the number last night because it came out. I never played it. Well the night before you passed away - Guess what number came out. Your daughter Cheryl played it and won some money. ha ha ha. You have some of the most incredible friends and its wonderful that they have been there with you these last few months. I will never say good-bye. I will just say Until We Meet Again. I love you Dad.
