Virginia was our next door neighbor on Norfolk Road for 10 years. She was unfailingly welcoming and warm, snapping pictures of our kids on snowy days. Our youngest remembers her as a "really nice lady." After we moved, I often ran into Virginia at yard sales and rummage sales as we combed the piles for bargains and caught up on family news. What a loss!

Virginia joined Chris and Erin for a trip to San Francisco in July 2010. On this day we took the ferry to Sausalito and had a wonderful day exploring.

This picture was taken in Summer of 2008 at the pool at Virginia's condo. Erin and Des loved their Grandma Ginger. Des was recovering from a burned hand.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving / 80th Birthday celebration for Virginia in November 2011, at Ginger and Kevin's home in New Jersey. Many of Virginia's siblings, kids, and grandkids were there for the fete.

This was from a visit by Virginia to our cabin in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Virginia bought her first pair of hiking boots for the trip, and was quite proud of her adventurous exploits, taking several rugged hikes, even canoeing in the Boundary Waters.

Virginia and I were professional human resources colleagues. I will never forget her optimism, her beautiful smile and how very gracious she was. She always had time to help her colleagues, and did so willingly. My deepest sympathy to all of you,Virginia was a real life angel.

She was one of the most unbelievable woman and friend of our entire family, especially my Mom over so many years. It's truly been a lifetime since the days down in Megansett. She will be missed by so many.
