UGALI, Valentina P. (Paredes), Lifelong resident of Cambridge. Passed away peacefully on September 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 42 years to the late Esteban G. Ugali. Loving mother of Valentina L. “Tina” McMakin and her husband Lawrence of Canton, and Gina M. Ugali of Cambridge. Cherished sister of the late Casiano “Sonny” Paredes, Marion V. Goldman, and John Paredes. Dear sister in law of Mafalda “Muffy” Paredes of Chelmsford, MA, Lawrence “Lonnie” A. Goldman of Honolulu, HI, and Jill Parades of Weymouth, MA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Proud graduate of the Sleeper School in Cambridge, Cambridge High and Latin, BA in Economics from Boston University, Master’s Degree in Spanish Literature from Boston University, and Master’s Degree in Classics from Tufts University. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church at 10 AM. Burial to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
