DECAPRIO, Julia (Stetson) of Arlington, The Villages, FL, and York, ME. Passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on January 5, 2019. Beloved wife of Michael P. DeCaprio. Loving mother of Cheryl A. DeCaprio of Wareham, Lauren Colbert and her husband Stephen of Arlington, Michael G. DeCaprio and his wife Patricia of Byfield, and Suzanne D. Gilmore of North Andover. Devoted grandmother of Corey, Marissa, Andrea, Sean, Derek, and Tyler. Sister of Nancy Martin of Italy, Marcia deRosas of Arlington, Susan Baker of Concord, Jane Quattrocchi of Natick, and the late Mary Cuny and George Stetson. After graduating from Arlington High School, Julia married her high school sweetheart and together they raised 4 children. Julia had many interests and hobbies, most of which she mastered, including cooking, sewing, ceramics, painting, refinishing antique furniture, computers and traveling. She took much joy in decorating and entertaining in each home she lived in and enjoyed hosting many holidays and celebrations with family and friends. Julia returned to work as a part time bank teller in the 1970’s and rose to the position of assistant VP at the bank when she retired. Julia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her six grandchildren who brought her much joy. She also enjoyed her years living in Florida and the many friends she made along the way in The Villages. Julia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt.60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Friday at 10:30 am. Funeral Mass in Saint Agnes Church, Arlington at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL www.moffitt.org.
